The most respected certification program is the Forest Stewardship Certification (FSC). This not for profit program brings together a diversity of interest groups, environmentalist, government agencies, workers unions and representatives, indigenous groups, logging companies and consumer advocacy groups. The diversity of interest group represents a comprehensive plan and process for establishing guidelines for sustainable harvested woods.

Common uses

Certified wood flooring looks and acts just like any other wood floor. These wood floors are of quality, durable and well built. They are available in solid wood flooring and engineered pre finished flooring.

Styles

Almost all species of wood are available through a certification program. Ask us about the different programs and always look for labeling of such practices. Common species include Brazilian cherry, tiger wood, hickory, maple, oak, teak, mahogany, and walnut.
